On May 7, the Hanoi City Food Safety Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 1 suddenly inspected the collective kitchen of Nghia Tan Primary School (No. 16, To Hieu Ward, Nghia Tan, Cau Giay, Hanoi) on the occasion of the Food Safety Action Month 2025.
At the time of inspection, Nghia Tan Primary School had presented a food supply contract between the school and the service provider (providing more than 3,000 meals/day).
The school has also provided a full commitment to ensure food safety; legal documents of the catering unit at the school. Through inspection, the actual hygiene conditions of the school were met.
The report of the Cau Giay District Food Safety Steering Committee said that there are 3,272 food production and trading establishments in the whole district. Implementing the Roadmap for Food Safety in 2025, Cau Giay District established 14 interdisciplinary inspection teams, including 6 district-level teams; 8 ward-level teams. The inspection teams of the district and ward inspected 278 establishments and fined 11 establishments with a total amount of 53.5 million VND.
Referring to the management, inspection and handling of food safety violations, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department Nguyen Quang Trung requested Cau Giay District to regularly upgrade and improve the quality of inspection and handling of violations of food and nutrition product businesses. Authorities need to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations of food product quality and origin.
