Apple may make three important changes to the iPhone 18 screen - expected to launch in 2026 - according to information from Digital Chat Station posted on Weibo.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max screens come in two sizes of 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches, but Apple can increase the resolution to 1.5K, with the photo score density remaining around 460 PPI. This helps the display quality to be sharper while still maintaining the same display detail.
The second breakthrough is the hole in active area (HIAA) front camera design, with the shape of a small hole in the left corner of the screen for selfies. This creates a full-screen look, while helping the new iPhone version to be different from devices using a center-lock design.
Finally, there is a big technical challenge, which is to bring Face ID down to the screen. Apple can completely remove the rabbit or Dynamic Island to completely hide the Face ID sensor under the wallpaper, leaving only a compactestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestestest on the screen.
If this technology is implemented, it will mark a new step in the development of the iPhone design celebrating 20 years.
These changes are considered the most significant leap forward in iPhone design since the iPhone 14, when Apple has almost ignored all major changes in appearance in the past few years.
If the above changes are implemented, iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will bring a different experience to technology users, especially loyal Apple fans.
