After a series of design changes in 2025 such as iPhone 17 Pro, ultra-thin iPhone Air and Liquid Glass interface, Apple is predicted to launch more breakthrough products in 2026, spanning from phones, computers to smart household appliances.
The focus of attention is the folded iPhone, believed to be named iPhone Fold. Mr. Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech channel said that Apple has chosen a book-folding design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold and significantly improved the screen folds.
According to 9to5Mac, the machine has a 7.8-inch indoor screen, a 5.5-inch exterior screen, 4 cameras and uses Touch ID instead of Face ID, titanium frame. The selling price can be up to $2,400 due to the complex cost of folding screens and hinges.
In the screen segment, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman revealed that Apple may launch one or two new Studio Display models in the first half of 2026. The J427 and J527 devices, 27 inches in size, use miniLED panels and A19 Pro chip, replacing the A13 Bionic on the current version.
Apple is also said to be developing a home appliance ecosystem, including security cameras, Home Hub and desktop robots. Home Hub may be launched sooner, equipped with a 7-inch screen, A18 chip and homeOS operating system. The product was previously scheduled to be launched with the new Siri version, but the plan was delayed due to the AI virtual assistant not being completed.
The new generation MacBook Pro is also mentioned. The Elec said Apple prioritizes thin and light design and eliminates the "laptop" part. According to Omdia, the device has a two-layer OLED screen, improving brightness and contrast. 9to5Mac mentions touch and 5G support. Mr. Gurman said the device will use M6 chip manufactured on a 2 nm process.
In the low-price segment, Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities predicts Apple will mass-produce the 13-inch MacBook using the A18 Pro chip in Q1/2026. This may be the first MacBook to use the A-Series chip, aimed at education and basic needs such as email and web browsing.
The iPad mini is also said to be switching to OLED screens, thinner bezels, A19 Pro chips and improved water resistance, marking the first redesign since 2021.
