Changes in the screen may appear on the iPhone 18 Pro

QUANG MINH |

The iPhone 18 Pro could see major changes to the display such as a hidden Face ID and a " fly-not" front camera.

According to new leaks, the pair of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will continue to maintain the same screen size as the current iPhone 16 Pro: about 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches.

This information also coincides with what experts predict for this year's iPhone 17 Pro, meaning Apple can keep the screen size the same for at least three consecutive generations.

However, despite the unchanged size, the iPhone 18 Pro series is still expected to have two important changes related to the screen:

Face ID hidden under screen

This feature has been rumored for many years. Respected sources such as screen expert Ross Young and a detailed report from The Information all believe that 2026 will be the time for Apple to deploy hidden Face ID.

This means that if Apple does not maintain Dynamic Island for design reasons, the iPhone 18 Pro will likely be the first model without a hardtop on the screen for facial recognition. Dynamic Island may still be available as an interface when needed, but will be completely invisible for most of its use.

"Flies" Photo camera

Apple is also expected to reduce display cuts to just one small hole in the front camera. Notably, the camera position can be moved to the left left corner of the screen, for the first time in the history of the iPhone, this asymmetrical design appears, similar to many Android phones have applied.

Although there are no real images, if the above information becomes true, the iPhone 18 Pro will mark a major turning point in screen design, towards a real full-screen experience.
