The 2025 National Press Festival, organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association under the direction of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is a practical activity towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025), 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Journalists Association (April 21, 1950 - April 21, 2025).
This is an event of special significance within the framework of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press (June 21,25 - June 21, 2025).
The 2025 National Press Association is not only a great festival for the press community nationwide but also an opportunity for journalists to review the glorious and proud tradition; worthy of honoring the achievements, contributions and silent sacrifices of journalists over the past century, from the first newspapers serving the revolution to modern multimedia journalism products contributing to the construction and development of the country today.
The 2025 National Newspaper Association with the theme "Vietnam Press - Trung Doan, Creative, brave, Innovation for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland" will be a highlight of the spirit of innovation, creativity, comprehensiveness of vision with many impressive exhibition activities, rich and practical professional activities and unique cultural and artistic programs.
This year's National Newspaper Association has more than 80 central and local press units participating, with nearly 130 booths displaying special press from popular to professional newspapers and magazines, of major press training institutions, covering all aspects of the country's economic - political - cultural - social - defense - security - foreign affairs life. Many press agencies will present multi-platform press products, applying new technologies such as AI, 3D modeling, holofan, virtual reality...
According to Lao Dong reporters, until the evening of June 18, preparations for the big festival were still taking place very urgently. Many exhibition booths of press agencies continue to be implemented, completing every small detail, promising to bring the public impressive experiences during the special festival of journalists nationwide.
The 2025 National Newspaper Festival will open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the National Parliament Center, Pham Hung, Me Tri, Nam Tu Liem streets, Hanoi, broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam.
This year, the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to organize the 2nd National Press Forum including 12 discussion sessions, with many practical contents, associated with the top concerns of the Vietnamese press.
