People's Public Security journalists must truly be era secretaries

Minister Luong Tam Quang requested that building a team of people's police journalists must be both green and specialized, truly a secretary of the times.

On the evening of June 20, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21,25 - June 21, 2025), meeting and honoring outstanding and outstanding journalists in the People's Public Security (CAND).

Attending the ceremony were General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; members of the Party Central Committee: Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung; Editor-in-Chief of Hoang Trung Dung Communist Magazine; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Ngo Dong Hai. Also attending were representatives of leaders of central press agencies and the presence of more than 300 journalists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed: During the 100 years of the formation and development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, generations of journalists, including the CAND press force, have made important contributions to the cause of revolutionary struggle, national construction and defense of the Fatherland.

"The sharp weapons are pens, paper, and the generation of journalists who have pioneered in protecting the Party's ideological foundation; fighting uncompromisingly against internal invaders, corruption, negativity, and refuting erroneous and hostile views" - General Luong Tam Quang emphasized.

In the context of complicated developments in world and regional security, General Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the People's Public Security press needs to continue to promote its core role in disseminating information and propaganda, promptly reflecting the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people on security and order protection.

The Minister of Public Security requested central and local press agencies and the People's Public Security press force to continue to promote propaganda about achievements and good deeds in the public security force; especially focusing on reflecting the results of implementing the Party's major policies according to the "four pillars" mentioned in the Resolutions of the Politburo.

Focus on building a team of people who are both professional and technical CAND journalists, truly the secretaries of the times, the "gatekeepers" of the people as desired by General Secretary To Lam.

Minister Luong Tam Quang also proposed to strengthen coordination between the press inside and outside the People's Public Security in implementing the common goal of stability, high-quality development of the country, and improving all aspects of people's lives.

"I believe that Vietnamese revolutionary press, including the People's Public Security press, with its intelligence, talent, affection and responsibility, will join hands, strive, and continue to make important contributions to the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland, including the cause of protecting security and order" - Minister Luong Tam Quang said.
