Safety features worth paying attention to on iPhone

The iPhone not only stands out for its privacy security but also integrates many practical safety features.

One of the notable features on the iPhone is Emergency SOS. When in danger or in a medical emergency, users can quickly call for help by holding the side button and volume button at the same time, or pressing the side button five times in a row.

Immediately, the iPhone will automatically call up for emergency careers in accordance with geographical locations, such as 999 in the UK or 112 in Europe, saving valuable time when users cannot remember the local emergency number. In addition, this operation also disables Face ID and requires entering a password to unlock the device, preventing unauthorized access. For iPhone 14 models and above, this feature also works via satellite in case there is no mobile signal.

In addition, the Medical ID feature allows users to save personal medical information such as allergies, blood type, medication and emergency contact. In case of an accident, medical staff can quickly access this information from the lock screen by going to the emergency call interface and selecting Medical ID, even when the iPhone is locked.

With Crash detection, iPhone 14 and later are capable of detecting vehicle collisions through a reversal and acceleration sensor. When this feature is enabled, the device will make a report and count down before automatically calling for emergency care, giving users the opportunity to cancel calls if not necessary.

The Location Sharing feature in the Find My application allows you to share your location with friends or relatives for a certain period of time. Users can manage or turn off sharing at any time in the privacy settings section.

If you don't want to share your location continuously, Check In is a good choice. This feature sends journey information, current location, and expected arrival time to a trusted person. If the user does not arrive at the correct location at the right time or does not respond when reminded, the recipient will receive a warning with the most recent location and activity data. Check In works in the messaging app, suitable for late-night walking or using a ride-hailing service.

Finally, the Safety Check feature helps to comprehensively review privacy settings. Users can quickly un partake locations, data, or access from unsafe apps and devices. In case of emergency, the Emergency Reset function will stop all sharing activities with just one press.
