Qianqian's death was determined to be due to sudden cardiac arrest, an unpredictable case that could lead to immediate death.
sudden cardiac arrest (SCD) can take the patient's life without any warning signs. Yin Yiqi, a first aid lecturer for the Heartsaver Program of the American Heart Association, said that sudden infant deaths are not uncommon. Factors such as physical activity, diet, and lifestyle can reduce the risk of sudden death. Potential cardiovascular diseases or uncontrolled drug use can contribute to sudden death.
According to the Global Times, in recent years, the Chinese Red Cross has installed more than 64,000 external automatic heart rate regulators in public locations, a significant increase compared to the 11,000 recorded in May 2021.
Lecturer Yin Yiqi says essential first aid techniques, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automatic external emergency detonator (AED) can help us take immediate action to save the lives of SCD patients, giving us the best possible chance of survival.
