OpenAI said the company is looking for an executive director responsible for researching and preparing for risks that may arise from advanced AI models. This position will be in charge of computer security issues, system operations and impacts on users' mental health.
CEO Sam Altman shared on the X platform that AI models are becoming stronger and have begun to create real challenges. He mentioned the possibility that AI can detect serious security vulnerabilities or negatively impact human psychology if abused.
According to the job description, the person holding this position will deploy the risk preparation framework of OpenAI, in order to identify and respond to new threats that may cause major damage. The announced salary is 555,000 USD (about 14,592,171,000 VND) per year along with company shares.
Recruiting new leadership roles is seen as a move to strengthen safe governance, in the context of AI continuing to develop strongly and being widely applied.
