The care work of trade union levels continues to be expanded, practical, timely and innovative, meeting the needs of union members and workers (DV, NLD). A total of 289,239 turns of DV, NLD were cared for and supported during the Lunar New Year, with an amount of over 125 billion VND. Speaking to direct the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - praised the results that the Trade Union levels of 3 localities and the Can Tho City Trade Union have achieved in the past period, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the city and the overall achievements of the Vietnam Trade Union organization.

Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Dinh Khang outlined a number of contents for the Congress to consider and decide in the process of discussing and building the Congress Resolution.
First, it is necessary to comprehensively innovate and improve the effectiveness of representing, caring for, and protecting employees, taking employees as the center, subject and goal of all activities. Through proactively proposing and closely coordinating with all levels of government, having policies to train and re-train skills and digital skills so that employees have skills and qualifications that meet the requirements of innovation and digital transformation; Improving the quality of dialogue, collective bargaining, and building collective labor agreements of high quality, more beneficial to employees...
Second, promote propaganda, mobilization, and education of union members and workers; innovate content, diversify forms and methods of propaganda, improve practicality, persuasiveness, and suitability with conditions, circumstances, needs, and habits of workers and laborers.
Third, the Trade Union needs to actively and proactively participate in improving the quality of human resources of the city, contributing to realizing the goals of Resolution 59-NQ/TW dated August 5, 2020 on building and developing Can Tho City to 2030, vision to 2045 and Resolution of the first City Party Congress.
Can Tho Trade Union needs to promote the construction of an electronic Trade Union model; deploy a digital platform to manage union members, receive feedback, and provide quick legal support; Strengthen digital communication, online interaction with union members; Apply technology in surveying and assessing needs, and implement care programs. The Trade Union must be a leading organization in digital transformation to not only adapt but also lead, orient and better serve union members and workers.

Fourth, pay attention to the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, especially in non-state enterprises and informal sector workers. Consider this as an important, regular, and urgent task for the Trade Union organization, with profound political significance, demonstrating the role of the Trade Union in contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on private economic development.
Fifth, organize well patriotic emulation movements among cadres, union members, and workers, focusing on the emulation movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor" with content and methods suitable for each establishment, industry, and target audience.
