On the morning of December 29, hundreds of workers at Panko Vina Co., Ltd. (My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Ben Cat Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) did not enter the factory to work.
The incident occurred a week after Panko Vina Co., Ltd. announced that it had to terminate the factory's production and business operations due to company difficulties and out of orders.
Talking to reporters, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that they have sent officials to the company to coordinate with units to resolve and protect the rights of workers.
Leaders of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee also said that workers did not come to work to express the company's desire to pay the 13th month salary and some other regimes.
After grasping the information, functional forces of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee together with other units came to the company to coordinate in resolving. Currently, the situation at the enterprise has stabilized, workers have entered factories and workshops to work again.

Leaders of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee said that this afternoon, functional sectors will have a working session with leaders of Panko Vina Co., Ltd. on regimes and policies after the enterprise terminates operations. After that, there will be an official response to employees.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on December 23, Panko Vina Co., Ltd. issued a notice on the termination of the company's production and business activities from February 1, 2026. The company is committed to fully fulfilling its obligations related to employees in accordance with the law.
According to the company's grassroots trade union, the unit has met with managers of all departments, then collected opinions from workers. First, workers expect the company to pay the 13th month salary. Second, propose that the company finalize the insurance contribution period, the salary payment period for January 2026. Third, propose that the company have a severance allowance equal to 3 months of basic salary for employees.
