The Autogate system sponsored by Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Company AHT will help shorten the time for completing procedures for passengers' entry and exit, reduce pressure on control forces through a completely automated process and improve safety and security with an advanced biometric identification system.
After the handover, the system was officially put into operation at Da Nang International Airport, helping to optimize the movement of international passengers, while ensuring accuracy and safety in the control process.
Da Nang International Airport is also the first airport in Vietnam to complete 100% automation from flight procedures to luggage handling, entry and exit procedures and boarding doors.
Ms. Pham Thi Minh Loan - Head of Logistics Department, Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security - said that the implementation of the automatic control gate system is part of the digital transformation trend, applying technology to the field of immigration management, helping to increase the effectiveness of inspection, control and handling of immigration procedures for passengers.
Previously, in August 2023, at Da Nang International Airport, the Immigration Department put into operation 4 automatic immigration control gates and 2 registration counters. During the operation, the unit has coordinated with the contractor to adjust, repair and upgrade the system to better meet the work of inspection and control of entry and exit.
Receiving and implementing the automatic entry and exit control gate system this time will help simplify entry and exit procedures, shorten and save time for entry and exit procedures for passengers, reduce pressure on authorities and bring a favorable experience to Vietnamese citizens and foreigners when entering and leaving Vietnam - Ms. Loan said.
