Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange creates momentum on launch day

12 technology transfer contracts with a total value of nearly 19 billion VND were signed at the Launching Ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange.

On March 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology organized the Launching Ceremony of the new version of the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Exchange at the Ho Chi Minh City Creative Startup Center (SIHUB).

Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dang Minh Thong, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, leaders of departments, agencies, research institutes, universities, experts and the business community.

This is an important milestone in the process of completing the intermediate infrastructure of the City's science and technology market, contributing to promoting the connection of technology supply and demand, supporting the commercialization of research results and the development of the innovation ecosystem.

Developed from the techport.vn platform, the Ho Chi Minh City technology exchange has gradually affirmed its role as an important data center and technology connection of the Southern region.

After many years of operation, the exchange has received thousands of technology needs from businesses; supported more than 280,000 information connections between supply and demand parties; automatically shared nearly 3,000 technologies and equipment to the National Science and Technology Exchange in December 2025, thereby expanding connections nationwide.

At the same time, the exchange has gradually formed an ecosystem with the participation of 50 large corporations, nearly 2,000 small and medium-sized enterprises, 150 institutes and schools, more than 3,000 high-tech products, 350 high-tech enterprises, 200 service organizations, 33 intellectual property organizations and 32 financial organizations.

The new version launched this time marks a comprehensive transition from an information connection model to an online technology transaction model with management, monitoring and measurable effectiveness, with three innovation pillars including: new transaction technology products, new technology platforms and new operating models.

Many other outstanding activities will take place within the framework of the event. In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology launched a network of strategic consulting units and signed cooperation agreements between parties in the ecosystem.

The event also witnessed the signing of 12 technology transfer contracts between businesses and research organizations with a total value of nearly 19 billion VND, including 3 contracts in strategic technology fields of the city such as robot technology and automation, artificial intelligence.

In addition, the floor also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with partners, displaying more than 70 technologies and equipment at 20 booths from institutes, schools and technology businesses.

Some typical technologies introduced at the event include ROV diving robots, automation systems, AI-applied healthcare solutions, multi-physical data analysis platforms, circular agricultural solutions, MySign electronic contracts... The exhibition space is designed like a "mini trading floor", creating conditions for parties to directly exchange, connect and promote cooperation.
