Connecting technology transfer
According to statistics from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MTS), the country currently has over 800 TSK market intermediary organizations operating. A representative of the National Science and Technology Information Administration emphasized that for science and technology to be effective, it is necessary to promote trade, connect supply and demand, invest in infrastructure and build a complete technology database. The development of a national technology exchange is necessary, aiming to integrate data on supply - demand, research results, intellectual property and consultants. At the same time, the exchange will support the organization of consulting intermediaries, brokers and linking with regional and local technology exchanges.
Need for support
However, according to the assessment, most intermediary organizations in the IT market are still lacking reputable intermediaries to meet the need to promote domestic and foreign technology transactions. This leads to the connection of supply and demand of science and technology not meeting the expectations of businesses.
The online Information, Technology and Equipment Exchange has collected and shared with individuals, organizations and businesses nationwide about 10,000 technologies and equipment for sale and purchase; database on connecting supply - demand of technology and equipment; database on science and technology experts; science and technology market newsletters serving businesses and topics on the science and technology market.
To support the connection of science and technology institutions, schools, and organizations and businesses, the Information, Technology and Equipment Exchange has coordinated, connected and shared information, transferred technology, equipment and science and technology products with technology exchanges in provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hue, Can Tho, Bac Giang, Nam Dinh, etc.
The platform arranges space for displaying and supporting businesses to introduce technology, equipment, and science and technology products; organize promotion, connect transactions, create an environment for cooperation, technology transfer, improve productivity, quality, and competitiveness in the market.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Dac Hien - Director of the National Science and Technology Information Department (Ministry of Science and Technology) - said that the Information, Technology and Equipment Exchange is essentially a "market" for institutes, schools, and businesses to meet, exchange and seek opportunities to promote and commercialize science and technology products. However, this platform is facing many difficulties after a period of operation, the effectiveness has not been as expected and has not received support from the State budget.
"Resolution 57 has created more favorable conditions for commercializing scientific research results from the State budget" - Mr. Hien said.
