In just a few weeks, Apple is expected to officially introduce a new generation of smartwatches, focusing on Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3, according to indianexpress.
Many sources believe that the low-cost SE product line may also return with a new design, after being absent in 2024.
According to analyst Mark Gurman (Bloomberg), both the Series 11 and Ultra 3 will not change much in appearance compared to the previous generation, while the SE is likely to have a refresh in design.
However, upgrades in screens, processors and health features still make the technology world wait.
Design and screen
The Series 11 is said to keep the flat, modern edge design with two sizes of 42mm and 46mm.
The new partnership between Apple and Corning makes all display glasses made in the US, promising better durability and faster repair time.
In addition, the Apple Watch can be equipped with an energy-saving LTPO screen, improved brightness and resolution, helping to extend battery life.
With the Ultra 3, the screen can even be slightly larger, reaching a resolution of 422×514 pixel.
Effectiveness and connectivity
Both the Series 11 and the Ultra 3 are expected to use the new S11 chip, providing higher performance and more battery saving. In particular, the Ultra 3 could be the first Apple Watch model to support 5G connection through RedCap standards, optimized for wearables and low-power consumption devices.
Meanwhile, the Series 11 is likely to continue to be limited to 4G LTE in the early stages.
Health features
One of the notable improvements is the ability to detect high blood pressure. The Apple Watch Series 11 is rumored to have a new sensor built in to help warn users about the risk of high blood pressure, a feature that is expected to strongly support personal health monitoring.
The simultaneous appearance of the Series 11, Ultra 3 and possibly the new SE shows that Apple is preparing for a more comprehensive generation of Apple Watch, from popular to high-end.
If the leaked information becomes true, 2025 could be a major turning point for the smartwatch line with the apple symbol.
