The newly launched Galaxy S26 Ultra series of the Galaxy S26 series will have 3 versions including: 12GB+256GB priced at 36.99 million VND, 12GB+512GB priced at 42.99 million VND and 16GB+1TB priced at 51.99 million VND.
As Samsung's third-generation AI phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has the ability to handle complex tasks in background mode, allowing users to focus on the results instead of how the technology works. This will be one of the main points for it to compete with Apple's iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra weighs only 214g and is 7.9mm thick, significantly lighter than the 233g and 8.8mm thick of its competitor from Apple. In addition, the camera cluster of the S26 Ultra line also has some changes in the module to make it easier to recognize.
Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen, along with a 120Hz dynamic scanning frequency. This is the same number as iPhone 17 Pro Max. However, Samsung's most valuable upgrade this year is the Privacy Display feature - anti-spy, protecting privacy on smartphones.
Designed for everyday situations such as when moving, in a cafe or a common working environment, Privacy Display far surpasses previous solutions on mobile devices - where hardware and software coordinate as a unified whole to protect content without affecting the viewing experience. In this regard, the S26 Ultra is slightly better than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of memory. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max uses the latest A19 Pro chip, with storage versions of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB, the highest level on smartphones today. In general, the performance of the two devices does not differ much.
However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra stands out with high-end AI features such as Bixby, bringing a more intuitive interaction experience than ever before. Users can navigate the device and adjust settings in natural language without remembering the exact command or technical terminology.
Besides Bixby, the Galaxy S26 series also integrates the selection of many AI agents, including Gemini and Perplexity. After setting up, users can complete tasks with just one tap of a button or voice commands. The Galaxy S26 series can also handle multi-step tasks in background mode, helping to simplify the process for users.
Meanwhile, iPhone 17 Pro Max, although having impressive performance, Apple Intelligence features are still quite limited, especially the ability to suggest contextual operations and deep understanding of Vietnamese.
Regarding the battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery, fast charging 60W. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 5,88 mAh battery and can charge from 0% to 69% with a 40W charger.
In general, iPhone 17 Pro Max is not rated as highly as its competitor in AI features, but with more than 6 months of market launch and a solid foothold, it will be a big challenge for the Galaxy S26 Ultra if it wants to surpass it in the high-end segment.
