Vietnamese startup becomes global partner of OpenAI

EON Tech, a Vietnamese technology startup, has just reached the OpenAI Select Partner level, becoming a global partner of OpenAI.

Deeply involved in the international AI ecosystem

In June 2026, OpenAI announced OpenAI Partner Network, a network of technology partners representing OpenAI's AI deployment in the world with strict standards.

OpenAI (the company that created ChatGPT) said that in 2026 they are investing 150 million USD in this ecosystem and setting a target of 300,000 experts.

In Vietnam, the number of businesses publicly achieving the OpenAI Select Partner level is currently 2. Currently, EON Tech and FPT have announced that they have achieved this partner level.

The addition of Vietnamese businesses participating in OpenAI's global partner network shows that domestic technology capacity is gradually participating more deeply in the global AI deployment chain, instead of just stopping at using available tools.

The demand for AI applications in Vietnam is changing rapidly. If previously many units mainly tested chatbots, now AI is being used to look up, synthesize documents, support drafting, analyze data and integrate with nghiệp vụ processes.

However, when AI is used on a large scale, the problem is no longer just choosing which tool. Organizations must simultaneously solve the issue of data security, user decentralization, cost control and responsibility for the results created by AI.

This is especially important for state agencies, state-owned enterprises and organizations that own a lot of internal data, where information security requirements are always put first.

AI Gateway and the centralized management problem

From that need, AI Gateway (AI gateway) is being concerned as an important part of the AI infrastructure in the organization. It can be simply understood that this is a "common gateway" to help manage the use of multiple AI platforms instead of leaving each department and division to connect individually.

Through a common focal point, the organization can manage users, control data, track costs and choose AI models suitable for each job, while still maintaining unified regulations on security and usage rights.

EON Tech is developing EONSR AI Gateway in this direction, to support management organizations to focus on multiple AI platforms in the same system. Becoming OpenAI Select Partner also adds direct connection to the OpenAI ecosystem in the direction of AI infrastructure development of businesses.

In addition to technology deployment, Vietnamese startups also focus on training programs, workshops and dissemination of AI application skills for large enterprises, state-owned enterprises and agencies and units in the public sector.

In the context of Vietnam entering a new stage of development with science, technology and innovation playing an increasingly important role, the deeper participation of Vietnamese businesses in international AI ecosystems also opens up opportunities to connect global technology with domestic practical needs.
