Currently, promoting the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation is leading to a large demand for high-quality human resources in strategic technology fields. However, the problem of attracting and retaining talent is still a challenge for many technology businesses.
Talking to Lao Dong, Dr. Doan Nam Thai - CEO of AVATECH said that many technology companies are currently facing difficulties in recruiting high-quality personnel in fields such as AI, big data, network security or semiconductors. According to Mr. Thai, the demand for recruiting technology engineers has increased rapidly in recent times as businesses are promoting the development of digital products, AI applications and digital transformation.
However, the number of candidates who meet the actual requirements is still limited, especially the group of personnel capable of implementing real projects and mastering new technologies. Business representatives also said that the competition for technology human resources is currently not only taking place between domestic companies but also with many foreign businesses with more attractive remuneration policies.
Faced with the reality that many businesses are facing difficulties in recruiting high-quality technology personnel, attracting talents to the state sector is also becoming a major problem in the context of increasing demand for science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Vu Thi La - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Science and Technology) said that the Ministry has grasped the reality of the shortage of high-quality human resources in strategic technology fields and is implementing many mechanisms and policies to attract talents, young scientists and technology experts to serve science and technology development and digital transformation.

According to Ms. La, current policies are aimed at many human resources groups such as digital technology talents, science and technology experts, innovation and digital transformation experts, along with a team of chief engineers and chief architects in the field of science and technology.
Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel said that these mechanisms are being implemented in many ministries, branches and localities to create conditions to attract and use high-quality human resources in strategic technology fields.
Also according to Ms. La, regarding the policy of attracting talents to work in state agencies, the Ministry of Science and Technology has recruited 33 cases to work in agencies and units under the Ministry according to current regulations.
Some units under the Ministry are also developing plans to recruit civil servants and public employees to supplement human resources to serve the task of digital transformation and science and technology development in the coming time.
In addition to recruitment policies, building a suitable working environment, creating conditions for talents to participate in large technology projects and have the opportunity to develop their expertise is also an important factor in retaining high-quality human resources.
Ministries, branches and localities are also continuing to deploy and summarize the results of implementing policies for talented young scientists, talented young engineers and digital technology talents to improve the mechanism in the coming time.
