Information technology industry revenue grows by an average of 10-15%/year; software export turnover grows by 15%/year.
In particular, the scale of the digital economy in 2023 will account for 20.69% of the city's GRDP, exceeding the target of 2025. The city has 2.3 digital technology enterprises per 1,000 people, 3 times higher than the national average.
The strong development of local digital technology enterprises, gradually mastering technology, developing platform products, and applying Make in Da Nang has won national and international awards and has been widely deployed in many other localities; creating a foundation for developing new key areas such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
In addition, the implementation of digital transformation and smart city construction in Da Nang has also achieved many outstanding results. For 3 consecutive years (2021-2023), Da Nang ranked first in the provincial digital transformation index and led in all 3 pillars of digital government, digital economy, and digital society as assessed by the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Da Nang has also won the Vietnam Digital Transformation Award for 5 consecutive years (2020-2024) evaluated by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association; and won the Vietnam Smart City Award for 4 consecutive years (2020-2023).
The Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang also said that the rate of online public services in Da Nang is the highest in the country at 95%; the rate of online processing of all records is 65%.
Regarding the Smart City Project and the Digital Transformation Project, the Smart City Project for the period up to 2025 sets out 6 target groups; up to now, 4 target groups have had results and products such as the IOC Centre, Upgrading the Data Centre, Environmental Monitoring System, and Food Traceability.
Two target groups are being deployed: Smart Hospital and Citizen Health Record Database, which are being deployed and expected to be completed in 2025.
