During the September 2nd holiday, many tourists coming to Can Tho were quite excited to experience the digital utility - free public Wi-Fi at attractions. This service helps people and tourists easily look up information, find restaurants, entertainment spots, thereby being more proactive throughout their journey to explore the city.

Coming to Can Tho for tourism for the first time, Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Tien (tourist from Vinh Long) was impressed to see the free Wi-Fi access QR code appearing right at the tourist attractions.
According to Ms. Tien, this is a very practical utility because most current tourism activities require Internet connection - from searching for destination information, choosing accommodation to finding local restaurants: "I often use the internet to search for locations and accommodation. For those who are not familiar with registering mobile data packages, the free Wi-Fi system is truly a convenient solution.

Similarly, Ms. Vu Thi Thanh (a tourist from Hung Yen) also regularly uses the Internet for entertainment and preparation for trips. Ms. Thanh appreciates the convenience of just scanning the code to connect immediately without spending money.
“It's really convenient. I can easily access the Wi-Fi network just by scanning the code. It's both free and convenient to use. If expanded to more points, I think it will be very useful for tourists as well as local people,” Ms. Thanh said.

Not only tourists, local people also assess this as a practical step in the context of increasing internet demand.
Mr. On Hoa Huy Phong (Ninh Kieu ward, Can Tho city) expressed: "Public Wi-Fi supports tourists very well during sightseeing and entertainment. I hope the city will continue to expand access points, and at the same time focus on improving transmission quality to better meet the large number of visitors during holidays and Tet.
According to the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City, the city has currently put into operation more than 20 public Wi-Fi points in areas such as Ben Ninh Kieu, Luu Huu Phuoc Park, Song Hau Park and Cai Rang Floating Market. The system is deployed to meet the needs of internet connection, support information lookup and access to digital utilities of people and tourists.
In the coming time, the Department will continue to advise the People's Committee of Can Tho City to expand more new connection points, gradually completing public internet infrastructure in the area.
