According to a leaked account on Weibo's Digital Chat Station, Apple's foldable iPhone (collectively known as the iPhone Fold) will have an additional 5.49-inch screen, described as similar to the OPPO Find N but "smoother and wider". Meanwhile, the main screen inside will be 7.74-inch, opening like an iPad.
The source also stressed that the ratio between indoor and outdoor displays is unprecedented. This could mean that the size difference between the two screens on the iPhone Fold will be significantly larger than other foldable phone models.
For comparison, the first OPPO Find N has a 5.49-inch off-screen and a 7.1-inch main screen, while the Pixel Fold has a 5.8-inch off-screen and a 7.6-inch main screen.
For the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the exterior screen is 6.3 inches, while the inside main screen is 7.6 inches.
This information shows that the iPhone Fold could become the most compact book-shaped foldable phone model on the market, following the trend of OPPO Find N and Google Pixel Fold.
There is currently no information about the device's thinness, but the technology world expects Apple to compete with models like the OPPO Find N5 or HONOR Magic V3.
In addition, another issue of concern is whether Apple can fix the inherent limitations of foldable phones, including vulnerable screens and less water/resistance than conventional phones.
