Apple has just officially launched iPhone 16e, the latest "cheap" iPhone model in the iPhone 16 series, with a starting price of 16.99 million VND. This is Apple's first model equipped with a self-d design mobile modem called Apple C1, supporting 5G connection.
The iPhone 16e has a similar design to the iPhone 13, with thicker display borders than the iPhone 16 Pro. The machine still uses the old rabbit ear design instead of Dynamic Island. The screen is 6.1 inches in size, using a OLED Super Retina XDR panel. This is also the first "cheap" iPhone model equipped with Face ID instead of Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The frame is made of aluminum, the corners are rounded, the sides are square, meeting IP68 waterproof standards. Notably, the Action Button replaces the output switch as on previous generations of iPhones.
Despite being a "cheap" iPhone line, the iPhone 16e is still equipped with an Apple A18 chip with 6CPs, 80% faster than the A13 Bionic on the iPhone 11. The device supports Apple Intelligence, helping to optimize AI tasks and enhance user experience.
The 16- core Neural Engine is designed to process generative AI models, running machine learning algorithms 6 times faster than the A13 Bionic. Thanks to that, the iPhone 16e can play AAA games that require high-speed ray tracing technology, providing more realistic lighting and reflection effects.
The iPhone 16e has only one rear camera but uses a Fusion 48 megapixel sensor, allowing zoom equivalent to a telephoto 2x. Apple calls this a "two-in-one" system, helping to improve the quality of photos taken.
Regarding batteries, Apple has not announced specific capacity but confirmed that this is the 6.1-inch iPhone model with the best battery life in the company, 6 hours longer than the iPhone 11 and 12 hours longer than the previous generation iPhone SE. Wire charging support and USB-C charging port.
The iPhone 16e comes in two colors: black and white, with three options: 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The starting price is 16.99 million VND. Apple also offers a 5-color backpack, priced at 1.2 million VND.
Users can order from February 28 and the product will officially be on shelves on March 7.
