Search data on Coc Coc in the period from May 1st to July 26th shows that the summer entertainment picture is shaped by many different content groups.
Of which, there are up to 667,000 searches related to theatrical films. Searches have increased significantly since the beginning of June and remained at a higher level in June and July 2026.
Horror is the most prominent content group in the top 1,000 keywords for theatrical films, accounting for more than half of the searches that have been classified. The top three films include Colony: Swarm of Zombies, Flame Tower and Ghost, all belonging to this genre.
Animation also has three representatives in the Top 10: Doraemon: Nobita and the Underwater Palace, Minions & Monsters and Toy Story 5. The results show a clear differentiation in interest between thrilling films and works aimed at family audiences.
Romantic romance films dominate in the film series group
About 1.1 million searches related to movies were recorded on Coc Coc. In the Top 1,000 classified keywords, romance - romance accounted for the highest proportion with 52.7%, followed by costume - swordplay with 15.5% and horror with 10.9%.
Phu nhân đại quân thế kỷ 21, Giai ngẫu thiên thành and The boys season 5 hold the top three positions. Seven of the 10 most searched works come from Korea. This presence shows that Korean content continues to hold a significant position in the search for film series.
Comics and animated groups recorded nearly 4 million searches. Japanese works such as Doraemon, The Legendary Detective Conan, One Piece, Dragon Ball... continue to appear in high positions.
In parallel with Japanese brands, Chinese animation is also clearly present. Battle of the Wall, Mục thần ký, Tiên nghịch and Phàm nhân tu tiên are all in the Top 10, reflecting a significant level of interest in the Donghua genre, especially tu tiên and kỳ ảo content. Data shows that users' entertainment choices are expanding in the Asian content ecosystem.
Reality music program continues to heat up
In the entertainment program group, Brother Overcoming Thousands of Obstacles topped the search volume, followed by Tinh Ha "say hi". Two knowledge game shows Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and King of Vietnamese also participated in the most searched group.
The interest also extended to participating artists. Duy Khanh, Hoang Dung and Ha An Huy led the group related to "Older Brothers Overcoming Thousands of Obstacles"; while Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic and Vuong Binh led the group related to "Tinh Ha "say hi".
This shows that the search behavior does not stop at the program name, but continues to expand to faces and stories surrounding entertainment content.
