Ho Chi Minh City - On the morning of January 5th, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) delivery trial program took place at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.

The program is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board and technology, logistics, and retail businesses such as Saolatek, Robotics and Di Dong Viet.

At the test session, the organizers implemented two consecutive unmanned aerial delivery flight scenarios, focusing on verifying automatic operation and real-time monitoring.

In the first flight, the UAV developed by Saolatek carried a shipment, the iPhone 17, and made a journey of about 200m in the test area.

After that, Real-time Robotics Vietnam's unmanned aerial vehicle implemented a more complex scenario with a multi-point delivery mission, with a total estimated route of more than 400m.

In both scenarios, the device takes off, flies and lands completely automatically according to a pre-programmed route.

Sharing at the event, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology said that the trial program of delivering goods using unmanned aerial vehicles at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park shows the Department's determination to boldly test, evaluate and gradually master new technologies, on the basis of strictly ensuring safety, security - national defense and social order requirements.

This is a very important premise for test operations to be deployed in a methodical, controlled and lawful manner.

Through the pilot program, the organizers can provide comprehensive assessments including: The ability to apply unmanned aerial vehicles in postal, urban logistics and short-distance goods distribution activities.

The level of safety, stability and operational efficiency of technology solutions researched and developed by domestic enterprises.

The ability to coordinate between state management agencies and businesses in practical operation organization.

Proposing mechanisms, policies, and technical standards to serve the expansion of application in the coming time.
