Google Gemini - Google's artificial intelligence (AI) assistant is gradually replacing Google Assistant on Android devices and will soon expand to wireless headphones and smartwatches.
According to confirmation from Samsung and Google, the Galaxy Buds 3 and some headphones will soon be integrated with Gemini.
Samsung said that the Gemini assistant will be available on the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Watch series in the next few months. Although there is no specific timeline, users will likely experience the feature before the end of this year.
On the Galaxy watch, Gemini will make the device smarter, for example, being able to remember the storage location of items as requested by the user, or summarizing the content of direct emails from the wrist - things that Google Assistant cannot do.
With the Galaxy buds 3, users can interact with the Gemini via voice or press and hold, connecting to the Galaxy phone. However, due to the lack of a display screen, the responses will be audio only.
The move to expand Gemini to wearables, headphones, cars, TVs and even the Pixel Watch line shows that Google is stepping up the presence of this AI in the Android ecosystem, gradually replacing the role of Google Assistant.
