Google has just announced that it will integrate Veo 3, the latest version of video creation technology, into the Google Photos application.
This feature allows users in the US to easily convert static photos into short videos, providing a more vivid experience for storing and sharing memories.
Currently, Google Photos has a Photo to Video tool, which supports creating videos from photos with the help of Veo 2.
Users can choose a photo in the library and apply suggestions such as sneak movements or surprise effects to create a 6-second clip.
With the appearance of Veo 3, the video quality will be significantly improved, even though the length is only about four seconds and the sound is not supported.
Google emphasizes that this feature will be free but the number of times created is limited. Users who register for the AI Pro and AI Ultra packages can create more videos, similar to those on the Gemini app, where Veo 3 was launched last July.
On Gemini, users can create up to three videos per day, with display and hidden shades to ensure the identification of AI-generated products.
First introduced at the Google I/O conference in May, Veo 3 shows the efforts of the "tech giant" in bringing advanced AI applications to popular consumers.
Google Photos currently has more than 1.5 billion monthly active users, becoming an important channel for the company to promote the new technology.
In Google's vision, Veo 3 is not only an image editing tool but also a way to breathe life into memories, helping to revive moments from old photos.
This feature is located in the new Create tab of Google Photos a collection of a series of AI-powered creative tools.
In addition to converting photos to videos, the center also offers photo style regions, collage photos, cinematic 3D photos, and even static photos to GIF photos.
The addition of Veo 3 shows that Google is increasingly focusing on personalized and creative user experiences, while competing more strongly in the already vibrant photo and video editing application market.
