The only Vietnamese enterprise on Omidia's global rankings
On October 24, in Hanoi, in its annual report "Market Landscape: Core vendors - 2025", global research and technology consulting company Omidia recognized Viettel as one of the world's leading 4G/5G core network providers, along with big names in the industry.
Notably, Viettel is the only new enterprise added this year - a milestone showing breakthrough capacity and a methodical investment strategy in core technology.
According to Omidia, Viettel is evaluated based on two key criteria: business capacity and breadth and competitiveness of the product portfolio. With outstanding results in both axes, Viettel is classified in the "Upcoming vendors" group - a group of enterprises with outstanding technology capabilities, expanding market share and influence in the field of global mobile core networks.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang, General Director of Viettel High Tech, shared: being recognized by Omidia is a positive signal, affirming that Viettel is on the right track in its journey to master 5G core technology.

In the process of mastering 5G core technology, Viettel High Tech affirmed its outstanding R&D capabilities when owning 4 core technologies, 8 international scientific papers, 1 US sang che and 11 Vietnamese patents.

According to Omidia, Viettel impresses with its ability to self-develop all important components of the 4G/5G core network, which is considered the "brain" of telecommunications infrastructure. Not only stopping at some single functions, Viettel has mastered the entire system - from control, data processing, subscription, service coordination, to resource management and allocation.
In particular, Viettel also develops an open platform combined with smart analysis using AI, allowing businesses and external applications to securely connect to network capacity, while supporting network operators to automate operations and optimize operational performance.
With the orientation of researching and developing new generation core technologies such as 6G, AI, and automated networks (Autonomous Core), Viettel aims to make Vietnam a leading telecommunications technology center in Asia.
