On the evening of October 30, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television to organize the 5th National Defense Press Award Ceremony to fight corruption, waste and negativity in 2024 - 2025.
According to the Organizing Committee, the press works participating in the tournament focus on promptly and comprehensively reflecting the fight against corruption, waste and negativity of the Party and State with the motto of perseverance, continuity, no forbidden areas, no exceptions. In addition to works reflecting on the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, reporters, journalists, and press agencies have expanded the content and topics reflecting on preventing and combating waste according to the direction of General Secretary To Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.
Many works are of good quality, relevant, highly revealing, demonstrating the commitment of journalists, determination, courage and being under pressure, the dangers associated with corruption, waste and negativity. From there, creating press works that create a great influence, social impact, bringing about effectiveness and positive changes in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity... The series of investigative articles: "Overall attacks on smuggling and counterfeit goods nationwide, strictly handling corruption and negative acts - no forbidden areas, no exceptions" by the group of authors: Ngo Van Cuong, Bui Thi Dieu Thom, Trinh Tung Giang, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Pham Vu Linh (Lao Dong Newspaper) were awarded the Encouragement Prize.

The series of articles were published by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters for many months, penetrating and exposing the tricks of "converting" goods of unknown origin, poor quality, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods and goods that infringe intellectual property rights, bringing to the consumer market, making billion-dollar profits, deceiving, threatening the health and trust of consumers.
Through a series of 5 articles, Lao Dong Newspaper interviewed, recorded opinions from experts, National Assembly deputies, scientists... giving advice and providing fundamental solutions, helping State management agencies have more grounds and bases to perfect legal regulations on handling and preventing counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, and violations of intellectual property rights, to improve and restore the business environment for genuine businesses.
At the same time, the news series conveys a strong message that individuals and organizations producing and trading counterfeit, smuggled and toxic goods will face serious legal consequences, no forbidden areas, no exceptions.
