In Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, provinces heavily affected by storm No. 10 Bualoi, the information interruption rate of Viettel broadcasting stations has decreased to an average of below 8%. While in Ninh Binh, the province was heavily affected by tornadoes, this figure is only under 2%, the basic signal has been completely restored.
Viettel has mobilized more than 100 rescue teams from its branches, bringing the total number of rescue teams nationwide to nearly 600, equivalent to nearly 1,500 personnel. All are assigned according to the expertise including BTS station, transformer, electromechanical, fixed telecommunications... Thanks to that, the progress of signal recovery is accelerated, ensuring communication to serve the direction and operation of the government as well as the communication needs of the people.

When the storm passed, hundreds of BTS stations in Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh lost power grids, many cables were damaged by strong winds and floods. Technical teams had to operate generators on the spot, transport fuel by specialized vehicles, and even walk for many hours through flooded and landslide areas to approach the station, ensuring continuous signals.
In Thanh Hoa, there was a time when nearly 900 stations had a power outage, but by the afternoon of September 30, more than 90% of stations had resumed operation. In Ha Tinh, mountainous communes are approached in a timely manner. In another severely affected location, Ninh Binh, thanks to effective rescue plans, the signal has been basically restored.
In parallel with infrastructure recovery work, Viettel also implemented many measures to support customers in affected areas. Shops, technical stations and staff houses are used as free battery charging points.

More than 73,000 customers in flood- isolated areas in Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Ha Tinh have been contacted by the community with 20,000 VND (equivalent to nearly 1.5 billion VND) in their accounts for 5 days. The policy of postponing the payment of goods to 40,000 customers who are postpaid subscribers has also been implemented to help people feel secure against the storm.
Right from September 28, before storm Bualoi made landfall, Viettel held an urgent meeting, deployed a comprehensive response plan, activated the "4 on-site" mechanism and put the entire system in the highest readiness state. Transmission stations in coastal areas are inspected and reinforced; thousands of generators, batteries, and backup fiber optic cables are arranged to be promptly replaced when there is an incident.
The artificial intelligence monitoring system and PCTT 3.0 platform have been upgraded, allowing real-time network diagram display, automatically warning stations of power outages, cables or transmission problems. Thanks to that, the rescue teams quickly identified and prioritized the handling of hot spots, significantly shortening the recovery time.
A representative of Viettel Group said that telecommunications is an essential infrastructure, of special importance in natural disaster prevention and rescue. Therefore, no matter how harsh the conditions are, Viettel is still determined to ensure that no area is isolated in terms of information when storms and floods occur.
