In just a few days, the regulations tightening subscriber management according to Circular 08 will be officially applied synchronously (from June 15, 2026).
Viettel Telecom Corporation (Viettel Telecom) announced that it has successfully supported more than 90% of customers who are required to verify information. Viettel's current resources are all focused on the final sprint: Supporting about 5 million remaining customers, mostly elderly people and people in remote and isolated areas.
Record from customer consensus
The figure of more than 90% of customers completing authentication before the deadline of June 15 is a historical milestone, proving the great consensus and support from customers for the State's policy.
Viettel Telecom said that most customers have proactively applied technology to self-verify via My Viettel, Viettel Tammi or VNeID. This proactiveness not only helps customers save time, protect their digital assets, but also directly "divides the fire", reduces pressure on the store system, creating conditions for Viettel to focus human resources on more difficult tasks in the final stage.

Final sprint challenge: Supporting nearly 5 million customers to implement the provisions of Circular 08
Although the completion rate is high, the difficult problem of the campaign lies in the remaining 7% - equivalent to about 5 million subscribers.
The specific characteristics of these 5 million customers are barriers that are difficult to overcome: They are people living in remote, isolated, and island villages who have difficulty accessing information; elderly people, people with weak health who cannot move on their own; people who do not use smartphones and do not have the ability to operate technology themselves.
If not promptly supported before June 15, this will be a group of customers who suffer inconvenience when communication is suddenly interrupted, losing the only tool to connect with relatives or medical staff in emergency situations.
Not leaving anyone behind
According to the network operator, with the commitment to support customers to the end, Viettel Telecom has activated the final "general offensive" campaign. Accordingly, Viettel provinces/cities strengthen mobile support points to villages and residential areas to support people. Tens of thousands of Viettel Telecom officials and employees nationwide are still sticking to the area, working overnight and without days off.

At the same time, continue to maintain the Home Support Channel via the free switchboard 1800 8098 (Press key 0). For elderly customers who cannot travel, just call the switchboard to provide the address, Viettel staff will come to the house to serve completely free of charge.
To ensure that the subscriber information verification campaign and protecting genuine SIMs reaches the finish line on time, the network operator recommends that people spend 3 minutes checking the phones of grandparents, parents and elderly people around them to check and support subscriber verification.
The joint efforts of the community will help network operators accelerate in the final stage, completing the set goals.
