This video was filmed by Jill Matthew, a tourist at Kruger National Park (South Africa), showing a herd of lions surrounded by a baby elephant lying helpless. It seems that this baby elephant was abandoned by its mother.
At that time, a herd of buffaloes was nearby. The scene of the lion biting and tearing the elephant attracted the attention of the buffalo herd. Immediately, at least 4 buffaloes approached to try to stop the attack of the lions.
At first, the lions did not care much about the harassment of strangers and continued to find ways to steal their prey. However, they noticed that the buffalo herd behind them was getting larger and larger.
Finally, the lions also realized that the best way was to run away instead of facing a large, powerful herd of wild buffaloes. Not missing the opportunity, the baby elephant got up and ran away, luckily escaped death.
