The video was filmed by Bathabile Shakwane - a field guide at Kruger National Park (South Africa).
According to Shakwane, when stopping at the Kumana dam in the National Park, they saw a lonely lion lying in the bushes, near a herd of wild buffaloes.
A buffalo discovered a lion and approached. The lion looked weak and scared, trying to run away, but could not catch up. It was hit mortally by a buffalo and thrown into the air.
Shakwane also said that the injured lion had since escaped, but it was likely to die from hunger and exhaustion.
