Topping the list is Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup Corporation, with estimated assets of 33.2 billion USD. With this level of assets, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is currently ranked 64th in the list of the richest people in the world.
Ranked second is Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi of Thailand, with estimated assets of 17.7 billion USD. He is currently ranked 154th in the ranking of the richest billionaires in the world.
Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi is the leader of Gulf Development, a corporation operating in many fields such as energy, telecommunications, infrastructure and digital technology.
The third position belongs to billionaire Dhanin Chearavanont, also from Thailand. This billionaire's assets are estimated at 17.4 billion USD, equivalent to the 160th position in the world.
Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont is Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, or CP Group. This is one of the largest multi-industry corporations in Thailand, operating prominently in the fields of animal feed, animal husbandry, food and retail.
Fourth in the list is Mr. Low Tuck Kwong of Indonesia, with an estimated fortune of 17 billion USD. He is currently ranked 166th in the list of the richest people in the world.
Mr. Low Tuck Kwong is the founder of Bayan Resources, one of the largest coal mining enterprises in Indonesia.
Closing the group of 5 richest billionaires in Southeast Asia is Mr. Prajogo Pangestu, also from Indonesia. His assets currently reach about 16.9 billion USD, ranking 169th in the world.
Mr. Prajogo Pangestu operates mainly in the petrochemical and energy sectors through businesses such as Barito Pacific and Barito Renewables Energy.
