Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google when they were research students at Stanford University. The two entrepreneurs developed the PageRank algorithm, an important platform that helps Google's search engine arrange and display results that suit users.

Alphabet currently has many important business areas, from search engines, online advertising, cloud computing to artificial intelligence. The growth of new technology segments has contributed to raising the value of shares and assets of the two founders.

Jeff Bezos's assets are currently about 7 billion USD lower than Sergey Brin's, showing that the gap between third and fourth places is not too large.

Mark Zuckerberg: Returning to the top 5 richest people in the world

Ranked fifth is Mr. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook and CEO of Meta, with assets worth 221.5 billion USD.

Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook in 2004, when he was only 19 years old. The social network was initially built for students, then quickly expanded and became one of the largest online platforms in the world.

Mr. Zuckerberg currently owns about 13% of Meta's shares. In 2015, he and his wife, Ms. Priscilla Chan, pledged to spend most of their assets attached to Meta shares on charity activities throughout their lives.

With 221.5 billion USD, Mark Zuckerberg's assets are 37.5 billion USD lower than Jeff Bezos'.

Assets in the ranking can change daily, depending on stock price fluctuations, private enterprise valuation, and the general situation of the financial market.
