5 Korean billionaires are in Forbes' ranking of the richest people in the world, with total assets of tens of billions of USD.

1. Billionaire Jay Y. Lee

According to Forbes updated March 2, 2026, Korean billionaire Jay Y. Lee owns assets worth 27 billion USD, ranking 89th in the ranking of the richest people in the world.

In 2022, billionaire Jay Y. Lee took over as Chairman of Samsung Electronics, and also became the head of the largest corporation in South Korea after his father passed away in 2020.

2. Billionaire Chung Yong-ji

Billionaire Chung Yong-ji's assets reached 11.7 billion USD, ranking 257th in Forbes' global super-rich ranking.

Billionaire Chung Yong-ji is the founder and CEO of the biotechnology company Caregen (Korea), famous for its wrinkle treatment products and diabetes medications.

3. Billionaire Seo Jung-jin

Billionaire Seo Jung-jin ranks 343rd in the ranking of the richest people in the world, with an estimated fortune of 9.9 billion USD, according to Forbes updates.

He is the co-founder of Celltrion - a biopharmaceutical company specializing in producing drugs to treat cancer, fever and rheumatoid arthritis and many other diseases.

4. Billionaire Lee Seo-hyun

Korean billionaire Lee Seo-hyun owns assets worth 9.5 billion USD, ranking 365th in the global rankings.

Billionaire Lee Seo-hyun currently runs the Samsung Welfare Fund - a charity founded by the late Chairman of Samsung Electronics Lee Kun-hee, her father.

She was also the first person to hold a consultative conference at the Leeum Samsung Art Museum in Seoul.

5. Billionaire Cho Jung-ho

According to Forbes updates, billionaire Cho Jung-ho owns assets of about 9.1 billion USD, ranking 380th in the list of the richest people in the world.
