Specifically, on Weibo, many messages to boycott US goods, especially Apple's iPhone, are spreading rapidly. A car seller in Gansu province wrote: "The US has fired the first round of shells in this trade war. Everyone needs to be responsible for boycotting US goods."
Apple's calls to boycott McDonald's, KFC and iPhone have also appeared continuously on the WeChat messaging app and the Weibo sub-bl post in recent days.
"Little people, our country is going through a difficult time. We must unite to support national brands and help protect this Van Ly Truong Thanh!" - a message being shared on WeChat.
It is a shame at the moment to still use the iPhone, Sam Li, an employee of a telecommunications company in China, shared with the South China Morning Post.
This is not the first time Apple and US goods have "hit a challenge" in China. In late 2018, during a tense period when Huawei's CFO was arrested in Canada, Chinese companies were gathering to support Huawei by asking employees not to buy any Apple products and threatening to fire if they did not cooperate.

In addition, many Chinese enterprises have told employees that they will receive incentives if they buy Huawei phones. Most companies support 10-20% of the purchase price, some even pay the whole payment. More than 20 Chinese companies have announced on social media that they will increase their purchases of other Huawei products, such as business management systems.
Recently, the boycott movement has been pushed up by Chinese people after the ban on US companies from using telecommunications equipment considered a risk to national security on May 15. The White House's move is believed to be aimed at Huawei. Huawei is also banned from buying US components without approval from Washington.
Immediately after that, a series of technology giants such as Google, Intel, Qualcomm, Xilinx and broadcom, Microsoft... announced "stop playing" with Huawei after the US ban.
According to experts, this is a very strong sanction of the US Government against Huawei and could suppress the core production activities of this Chinese company.
Despite claiming to have prepared for the worst-case scenario, the Chinese technology company will certainly suffer heavy losses after the sanctions, in an ambition to take over 5G infrastructure worldwide.
There have been no meetings between the US Treasury Secretary and the Chinese leadership on the end of the US-China trade war. However, the US Secretary of State expects the situation to change soon.
