The dispatch sent to the Management Board of Bac Ninh Industrial Parks; Departments of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Science and Technology; Bac Ninh Tax Department; Bac Ninh Customs Department; Bac Ninh Electricity Company stated:
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province received an Official Dispatch dated October 18, 2024 from Apple Corporation, which requested a number of contents related to: temporary import and re-export, repair activities, renewable energy, batteries... of the corporation.
Regarding this matter, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the above-mentioned departments, branches and sectors, according to their functions and tasks, to: Study the content of the proposal of Apple Group; explain and advise on specific solutions for each work content.
The Management Board of Bac Ninh Industrial Parks shall preside over and synthesize opinions from departments and branches; advise on proposals and draft Official Dispatches of the Provincial People's Committee to respond to each content of Apple Group's proposal; and at the same time, send the draft for the content requiring opinions from Central Ministries and branches. Synthesize and report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee before November 19, 2024.
Last June, the leaders of Bac Ninh Customs Department also had a working session with representatives of Apple Corporation.
At the meeting, Apple's representative also proposed that the two sides establish an open communication and exchange channel to help Apple better improve its production and business activities.
The leader of Bac Ninh Customs Department said that the department will soon arrange a focal point for the two sides to promptly share relevant information, contributing to promoting the production and business activities of Apple and its partners.
Foxconn - a component supplier for Apple - currently has factories in 3 industrial parks in Bac Ninh including Que Vo, Dai Dong - Hoan Son and VSIP. Recently, Foxconn has also been approved and granted an investment registration certificate for a factory project worth nearly 400 million USD in Nam Son - Hap Linh Industrial Park (Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province).
Bac Ninh currently has 16 concentrated industrial parks whose development planning has been approved by the Prime Minister, with a total area of 6,397.68 hectares; 12/16 industrial parks have come into operation.
Data up to September 2024, Bac Ninh industrial parks attracted nearly 2,100 secondary projects (FDI nearly 1,430 projects, domestic more than 625 projects).
