Although his assets sharply decreased to 725.1 billion USD, Elon Musk still far ahead of those behind him in the world billionaire ranking.

Elon Musk loses nearly 19 billion USD

According to Forbes' update at 12:30 PM on July 25, 2026, Vietnam time, billionaire Elon Musk continues to hold the position of the richest person in the world with assets worth 725.1 billion USD.

Musk's assets decreased by 18.9 billion USD, equivalent to 2.53%, compared to the day before. This is the largest drop in absolute value in the top 5 richest people on the planet.

Compared to the $744 billion recorded a day earlier, Elon Musk's assets have "evaporated" nearly $19 billion. However, his leading position is still not threatened as his current assets are $461.9 billion higher than second-placed Larry Page.

Elon Musk is known for leading the electric vehicle company Tesla, aerospace corporation SpaceX and artificial intelligence company xAI. He is also behind neurotechnology company Neuralink and infrastructure construction company The Boring Company.

Most of Elon Musk's assets are associated with shares in technology companies. Therefore, the value of his assets may increase or decrease by tens of billions of USD depending on the valuation of the business and developments in the stock market.

Larry Page consolidates second place

Google co-founder Larry Page ranks second in the ranking with assets worth 263.2 billion USD.

In the latest update, Mr. Page's assets increased by 1.1 billion USD, equivalent to 0.42%. He is one of two people in the top 5 richest billionaires in the world to record asset growth.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google when they were research students at Stanford University. The two entrepreneurs developed the PageRank algorithm, an important platform that helps Google search engine sort results.

Although no longer directly managing daily operations at Alphabet, Larry Page still holds a large amount of the group's shares. Therefore, his asset value is significantly affected by Alphabet stock fluctuations.

Jeff Bezos holds third place

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos currently owns assets worth 243.2 billion USD, ranking third in the list of the richest people on the planet.

Mr. Bezos's assets decreased by 1.4 billion USD, equivalent to 0.56%, in the latest update. Compared to the previous recorded 244.6 billion USD, the assets of the Amazon founder have decreased exactly equal to the fluctuation announced by Forbes.

Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, initially an online bookstore. The business later developed into a large corporation in the fields of e-commerce, logistics and cloud computing.

Although he has left the position of CEO of Amazon, Mr. Bezos still holds the role of Executive Chairman and owns a large number of shares of the group.

Sergey Brin approaches Jeff Bezos

Sergey Brin ranked fourth with assets worth 242.9 billion USD.

In the update at 12:30 PM on July 25, the assets of the co-founder of Google increased by 1 billion USD, equivalent to 0.42%. This increase significantly narrowed the gap with Jeff Bezos.

Similar to Larry Page, most of Sergey Brin's assets come from shares in Alphabet. This group currently operates in many fields such as online search, digital advertising, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

With a gap of only 300 million USD, the ranking between Jeff Bezos and Sergey Brin could quickly reverse as Amazon and Alphabet stocks fluctuate.

However, Sergey Brin has not yet created a safe distance from the fifth-ranked Michael Dell. His assets are currently about 5.6 billion USD higher than Michael Dell's.

Michael Dell maintains position in group 5

Michael Dell ranked fifth in the ranking with assets worth 237.3 billion USD.

The assets of the Chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies decreased by 2.5 billion USD, equivalent to 1.04%. Although his assets declined, he still maintained his position in the top 5 richest people in the world.

Dell Technologies was formed in 2016 after a $60 billion deal between Dell and data storage company EMC. The group returned to the stock market in 2018 through a financial restructuring plan.

In 2021, VMware, Dell's cloud computing software division, was spun off into an independent enterprise. By 2023, chip manufacturer Broadcom acquired VMware for $69 billion. A significant portion of the value from this deal belonged to Michael Dell.

In addition to shares in Dell Technologies, a large portion of his assets is managed through the private investment company DFO Management. This company holds investments in the hotel, real estate and corporate credit sectors.
