Quang Tri - The Team for Repatriating Martyrs' Remains discovered 5 martyrs' remains, including a toothbrush and a glass jar suspected of containing martyr information.

On July 25, the Team for Repatriating Martyrs' Remains of Economic - National Defense (KT-QP) Team 337 (Military Region 4) said that from July 23 to July 25, through information gathering in the area, the unit discovered and successfully repatriated 5 martyrs' remains in the Cay Loi stream hill area (Cup Cuoi village, Huong Lap commune, Quang Tri province).

All 5 martyrs' remains were found on a hilltop about 50m high, lying at a depth of about 1.6m underground and all carefully wrapped in hammocks and parachutes. The artifacts seized included: shoe soles, belts, pins, information wires and a large glass jar.

Notably, all 5 martyrs' remains have glass jars attached, inside containing a piece of paper with blurry words suspecting information about the martyrs. In particular, set No. 4 of martyrs' remains collected on July 24 has an artifact attached, a blue toothbrush, with the symbol: THU – DO (or ĐO) "T62 - 20" engraved on the handle.

Immediately after exhumation, the Team for Repatriating Martyrs' Remains of Economic-National Defense Team 337 brought all 5 martyrs' remains to the Huong Hoa spiritual cultural area (Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province) for preservation, care and solemn incense offerings. At the same time, the unit is urgently carrying out procedures to hand over the glass jars to functional agencies to serve the work of verifying and clarifying information.

In parallel with that, officers and soldiers of Team 337 are continuing to expand the search area around the discovered location.

According to information from local authorities and people, the location where the 5 martyrs' remains mentioned above were discovered was previously the cemetery area buried behind a transport unit of Team 559.
