Bao Lam 5 commune was established on the basis of the merger between Loc Bac and Loc Bao communes.
The whole commune has a natural area of more than 51,869ha, a population of more than 11,400 people with 17 ethnic groups living in 8 villages. Among them, ethnic minorities account for more than 61% of the population.
With a large area and the lives of a part of the people still being difficult, Bao Lam 5 commune identifies sustainable poverty reduction and income improvement as key tasks in socio-economic development.
After arranging administrative units, the locality focuses on consolidating the organizational structure, ensuring stable operation, smooth work resolution, and better service for people and businesses.
Along with that, the commune has built and implemented many solutions to support production development, create livelihoods, and increase income; and at the same time fully implement policies for poor households, near-poor households and difficult cases, helping people have more conditions to rise up.
The locality also focuses on investing in essential infrastructure, gradually completing transportation, lighting and civil works, creating motivation for economic development and improving the quality of life.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, Bao Lam 5 commune has completed and exceeded 19/19 socio-economic development targets in 2025. The economy continues to grow, the production structure is shifting positively, and people's lives are gradually improving.
Creating changes from practical actions
Along with economic development, Bao Lam 5 commune focuses on building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment, gradually improving the quality of life of people.
Implementing the movement "Bright - green - clean - beautiful", the locality mobilized officials and people to build a flower road more than 1km long, planting about 3,000m2 of flowers in the premises of agencies and units; and at the same time socialized more than 1.5km of lighting system in the commune center and villages.
Environmental protection work is concerned with the establishment of waste collection teams, raising people's awareness in preserving rural landscapes. Specific projects and tasks have contributed to changing the face of the locality, creating consensus in the community.
In parallel with economic development, Bao Lam 5 commune continues to consolidate Party building work and the political system. Party organizations are consolidated, the quality of Party cell activities is gradually improved; inspection and supervision work is carried out seriously, contributing to maintaining discipline and order.
