On the evening of November 17, at Phu Quoc special zone, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung chaired a meeting to listen to the report on adjusting the An Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and focusing on and orienting the development of Phu Quoc special zone in adjusting the planning in the coming time.
At the meeting, the Department of Finance reported on the progress of adjusting the An Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; the consulting unit presented the overall plan of An Giang province, assessed the current situation, identified priority sectors and development orientations.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung acknowledged that the consulting unit has actively implemented tasks, achieved initial results, pointed out Phu Quoc's strengths, weaknesses and development potential. At the same time, he welcomed the comments of departments, branches, sectors of Phu Quoc province and special zone.

The Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to coordinate with the consulting unit to continue researching, on the principle of inheritance, innovation, breakthrough, and synchronization. In particular, it is noted that the planning must highlight the strategic orientation for developing An Giang province to become a strong marine economic center of the country.
In addition, study the border gate economy; make a detailed plan for time and products; organize workshops to invite leading experts on planning to advise and discuss; collect opinions from ministries, branches and localities.
