Storm No. 12 Lorenzo changes direction, travels around the sea

Ninh Phương |

According to the latest storm information from the US National Hurricane Center (NHC), storm Lorenzo has increased in intensity. This is the 12th storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.

Storm Lorenzo is moving in the eastern Atlantic, with its circulation tending to extend along the north-south axis.

Lorenzo has turned north at a speed of about 65km/h.

It is forecasted that on October 15 (local time), storm Lorenzo will change direction to the northeast and accelerate. The storm will continue to move this way until it weakens.

Storm Lorenzo will weaken into a low pressure trough over the next 24 hours.

The new intensity forecast shortens the dissolutions time to 24-36 hours, and Lorenzo may dissolve even earlier.

The storm did not directly affect the mainland, but heavy rain and strong winds were still recorded.

Tourists traveling by cruise ship should regularly update weather reports, follow the instructions of local authorities and consider adjusting travel plans or outdoor activities to ensure safety, especially activities at sea or near the coast.
