Starting construction of more than 500 social housing units
The pilot social housing project in Thach Linh ward, phase 2, in Hoa Linh residential group, Thanh Sen ward, is a project invested by the Ha Tinh Provincial Development Investment Fund, which started on August 19, 2025 and is expected to be completed after 20 months of construction.
The project has a total investment of 550 billion VND, the scale of the completed construction of 3 12-storey social housing buildings to accommodate 509 apartments and 41 3-storey commercial houses with traffic systems, trees, sports and physical training grounds, parking lots and synchronous technical infrastructure, and other utilities.
Previously, phase 1 of the Social Housing pilot project in Thach Linh ward had built more than 470 apartments with a total investment of 355 billion VND, completed and put into use since 2019.
After a month of implementing the Thach Linh Ward Social Housing pilot project, phase 2, the Ha Tinh Development Investment Fund has reported information about the project according to regulations.
Accordingly, the investor has publicly announced the address and phone number to receive registration for buying and renting social housing; the expected time to receive registration documents is from March to May 2026.
Regarding apartment prices, including selling prices, rental prices, and purchase rental prices, the Ha Tinh Provincial Development Investment Fund will have a notice after completing all procedures in accordance with the provisions of law.
Select 14 locations for social housing construction
According to the Ha Tinh Department of Construction, based on the province's housing development program and plan, approved urban and rural planning and actual needs in the area, the Department of Construction has coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and wards to review and propose land locations for social housing development in the province.
The whole province has arranged 14 locations for social housing construction with a total area of nearly 80 hectares. Of which, Hai Ninh ward will arrange 3 locations in Hai Ha, Tan Thang and Nam Hai residential groups. The remaining locations are Quyen Thuong residential group (Song Tri ward); Cam Binh commune; Nam Thuong residential group (Ha Huy Tap ward); Tan Hoc residential group (Tran Phu ward); Thanh Sen ward; Bac Hong Linh ward; Nam Hong Linh ward; Duc Tho commune, Co Dam commune, Nghi Xuan commune, Son Tien commune.
Also according to the Ha Tinh Department of Construction, based on the locations of the land to develop social housing as proposed above, the Department of Construction will update and supplement the housing development plan, coordinate with relevant units to adjust the plans to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve according to regulations.
Currently, Ha Tinh is synchronously implementing solutions to implement Decision 338 of the Prime Minister on the Project to develop at least 1 million social housing apartments in the period of 2021 - 2030, striving to complete about 3,700 apartments by 2030, Ha Tinh.
