Tofu is a good source of plant protein, low in fat, helping the liver not to be overloaded. Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which helps the liver produce glutathione, an important antioxidant.
Dr. Tinsay Woreta, a liver expert at Johns Hopkins Medicine, recommends that the liver has the ability to detoxify itself if supported by a healthy diet and reasonable lifestyle. Supplementing foods rich in antioxidants and fiber as above can help the liver function more effectively.
Adding simple dishes such as ginger broccoli soup, stir-fried carrots and steamed tofu with coriander and lemon juice to your daily meals not only helps purify the liver but also improves overall health. Combined with a healthy lifestyle, these dishes will be a powerful support for your liver leaves.
