Wring clothes thoroughly before drying
This is an important step to shorten the drying time. If using a washing machine, you should choose a high-speed squeezing mode to eliminate the maximum amount of water remaining in the fabric.
Use a towel to suck out some water
Place the clothes on a dry towel, roll both together and squeeze hard. The towel will absorb the remaining water on the clothes, helping the clothes dry faster before being dried.
Hong in front of electric fan or heater
After squeezing thoroughly, hang clothes in front of the fan to increase air circulation and speed up water evaporation. If using a heater, keep the appropriate distance to avoid making the fabric dry or damaged.
Utilize the freezer compartment
Fold the damp clothes neatly, put them in a sealed plastic bag and put them in the freezer overnight. The next day, take out the clothes and iron them to remove the cold air before use. This is a tip that many people apply when the weather is cold and humid.
Using a hair dryer with small clothes
Hair dryers are suitable for drying underwear, socks, towels, or thin items. When drying, keep a moderate distance so that the heat is evenly distributed. For thick or large-sized clothes, this method is still effective but will take longer.
Hang open clothes
Do not hang clothes overlapping each other because it will hinder the dehumidification process. Stretch the distance between the hangers for better air circulation. When the sun is clear, turn the clothes inside out before taking them out to dry to limit discoloration due to direct sunlight.
If you regularly have to wash clothes in the rainy season or your family has a large need, a clothes dryer is a solution to save time and limit the condition of clothes being damp and smelly after drying.
