The program to honor outstanding cultural families of the capital has been implemented by Hanoi since 2023 with 30 families being awarded, in 2024 there will be 87 families.
In 2025, families are honored as typical representatives of many different classes and fields in society such as: religion, ethnicity, veterans, businessmen, armed forces, teachers, cadres, civil servants, workers, farmers, women, youth, etc.
Outstanding cultural families are selected according to many strict criteria, including: exemplary compliance with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; actively participating in emulation movements in the locality; building a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family; continuously being recognized as "Cultural Family" for 3 consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024).
Along with that, the families also have outstanding achievements such as: preserving the tradition of many generations living in harmony, promoting learning - talent, preserving and promoting cultural values, traditional crafts, actively participating in culture - arts - sports, making many contributions to the locality, good production and business, humanitarian activities, charity...
Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Ms. Bach Lien Huong - Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports - emphasized that in the process of building a modern, smart capital but still imbued with cultural identity, the role of the family becomes even more important.
"We need to continue to promote good traditional values, build happy, equal, progressive and civilized families, contributing to the implementation of the sustainable development goals of the Capital," Ms. Huong shared.
80 families honored this time come from 30 districts, towns and cities, representing different social forces and all went through a public and transparent evaluation process through many levels of emulation and reward councils.
Each family is an inspiring story, a testament to the success of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", while affirming the effectiveness of the policy of building family culture - the foundation for the development of civilized people and society.
"The families honored today will be the fires of inspiration, spreading good values to the community. I call on all levels, sectors and localities to continue to pay attention to and develop the movement of All People unite to build a cultural life to replicate typical family models so that the movement can truly become a driving force for building a new society and new people," Ms. Huong emphasized.
