On May 13, Hanoi club officially announced the successful recruitment of midfielder Hendrio. The contract between the two parties is valid until 2028.
Having accompanied Hendrio for many years in his career, the player's girlfriend, Lais Machado, expressed her happiness when the midfielder born in 1994 "crossed" a new team in Vietnam, thereby continuing to nurture the hope of naturalization.
Lais Machado said: "I wish Hendrio a great journey with Hanoi FC. I hope he will help the club achieve all the goals. I am very happy to see him doing what he loves, which is playing."

"I am very happy that he chose to join Hanoi FC, this is a very good and professional club. I'm always here to support Hendrio, both on and off the pitch. I look forward to seeing him debut for Hanoi FC," Lais Machado added.
His girlfriend's wishes will give Hendrio more motivation to maintain his form and reap success in the new shirt.
Hendrio started his career at Barcelona's La Masia academy, then moved to the Real Betis and Recreativo de Huelva youth teams. Before coming to Vietnam, Hendrio played for many clubs in Spain, Portugal and Georgia.
In 2021, he joined Binh Dinh, making an important contribution to helping the Quy Nhon home team finish 3rd in the V.League and runner-up in the National Cup in 2022. In 2023, Hendrio moved to Nam Dinh Steel Blue, contributing to helping the team win the V.League championship in the 2023-2024 season and win the 2023-2024 National Super Cup.
By recruiting Hendrio, Hanoi FC shows that this team has a methodical strategy to rebuild the club. In addition, Hendrio is also expected to soon complete the procedures for becoming a Vietnamese citizen when he continues to play for a domestic team.
