On May 30, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Tri Province Police confirmed that it had issued a document requesting the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to administratively sanction Mr. Le Van T (34 years old, residing in Quarter 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri Town) for the act of harassing the health of family members.
Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on March 28, at her private home, Ms. Vo Thi L (58 years old, Mr. T's biological mother) was hit by her son with a plastic chair, causing a broken arm. On April 17, Ms. L filed a complaint against her son's behavior with the Police of Ward 1, Quang Tri Town.
After receiving the application, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Tri Province Police conducted verification. However, because Ms. L submitted a request not to prosecute and handle the case criminally, the investigation agency did not prosecute the case of intentional injury.
During the working process, Mr. Le Van T admitted his actions, showing a sincere and remorseful attitude.
The police determined that Mr. T's actions violated regulations on administrative sanctions for violations in the fields of security and order and prevention and control of domestic violence. The proposed fine is from 10 million VND to 20 million VND.
