Novak Djokovic suspended the interview after discovering that his children were still waiting in the stands for their father even though it was 1 am.

Novak Djokovic defeated Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4 in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Australian Open on the afternoon of January 21.

The Serbian tennis player faced Alcaraz in a tense match lasting 3 hours and 37 minutes, but many people decided to stay until dawn to watch.

The 37-year-old tennis player's post-match interview took place at around 1 am (local time). While speaking, he discovered his daughter Tara and son Stefan still sitting in the front row of the athletes' area, along with his wife Jelena.

When asked by reporters about his good performance despite an injury at the Australian Open, he lost focus.

"Sorry, I heard your question. But I was surprised to see my children still here. I love you and thank you for coming to support me. But when will the children go to bed? The family doesn't want me to talk about them, so let's get back to tennis."

Hearing her father's reminders, the daughter Tara immediately pressed the watch worn position on her wrist, implying that Djokovic would quickly complete the interview to rest together. The comments of the video on the tournament's homepage were filled with compliments for the sweet moment of this star's family.

After answering, Djokovic hugged his children and carried Tara on his shoulders with a bright smile to return to the tunnel to the dressing room area.

This is the 12th time he has reached the semi-finals of this tournament. Djokovic's next opponent is Alexander Zverev. With the support of former world No. 1 Andy Murray as a coach, Djokovic has maintained a stable performance despite being injured.
