On Friday afternoon, as the working week gradually closes, many families in Lao Cai also start planning for the two weekend days.
For many parents, it is a precious time to put aside work, take their children to Nhac Son Park, stroll around the streets or simply have a quick meal together after busy days.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (Lao Cai ward) said that from Monday to Friday, both husband and wife go to work during office hours, and their two children go to school all day. In the evening, the whole family only has time to eat rice and then everyone takes advantage of resting to prepare for the next day.
Therefore, every weekend my wife and I try to spend time taking our children to Nhac Son Park to cycle, play with slides or take a walk. Just a few hours but the children are very excited, and the parents also feel like they are'recharging energy'," Mr. Hung shared.
Not only Mr. Hung's family, many parents in Lao Cai said that weekends have become a "golden time" for the whole family to gather.
Some families choose to take their children to the park, some families visit grandparents or organize a short picnic. What they aim for is not long trips but the opportunity to be together more often.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoai Thuong (Cam Duong ward) recalled, once her daughter asked: "When will Mom have a day off to play with me?". That question made her realize that what her child needed most was not gifts or tight school schedules, but the presence of parents.
Since then, every weekend the family has tried to spend at least half a day together. Sometimes it's just going to the park for a walk, eating ice cream, chatting or cooking a meal together. Those simple moments make the whole family feel closer," Ms. Thuong said.

According to many parents, work and life pressure makes the time spent with family increasingly narrower. Therefore, the two weekends are not only a break after a week of work but also an opportunity for parents to listen to their children more, and their children to be closer to their parents.
No need for expensive trips or tight schedules, sometimes just a morning cycling under the trees in the park, a meal full of laughter or an evening the whole family chatting is enough to become beautiful memories in each child's childhood.
In the increasingly hurried pace of life, weekends are therefore not simply holidays, but are gradually becoming "family days", where distances are filled with presence, sharing and peaceful moments with loved ones.
